While June is recognized nationally as Pride Month, Monroe County’s LGBTQ+ community has traditionally celebrated Pride in July.
In celebration of Monroe County’s Bicentennial and the 50th Anniversary of the county’s first organized Pride events, a selection of panels from the “Forging Alliances: Rochester’s LGBT Story” project are on display at several county-owned facilities.

Monroe County is proud to be a sponsor of 2022 Pride events, including the 2022 Pride Picnic from noon to 6 p.m. July 10, 2022 at Genesee Valley Park, the ESL Federal Credit Union ROC Pride Parade at 1 p.m. July 16 on Park Avenue and the ESL Federal Credit Union ROC Pride Fest, from noon to 8 p.m. at Cobbs Hill Park.
