Message from Monroe County Executive Adam Bello
Thank you for joining in our community-wide treasure hunt throughout Monroe County’s 22 Parks in celebration of the Veteran’s Outreach Center’s 50th Anniversary! Residents will search for one of 450 handcrafted copper roses designed by local metal artist Marc Gaiger at special events throughout the summer. The Rose is yours to keep. Each rose has numbered tag on it and is dedicated to a local fallen service member who served our country with distinction and paid the ultimate price for their service.

Did you find a red rose? To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Veterans Outreach Center, 50 of the 450 roses are tinted red - these roses are extra special. The finders of the red roses and their families are invited to register and bring their Never Forget Rose with them as they march in the 2nd Annual Monroe County Veterans Day Parade scheduled for November 12, 2023.
