Monroe County Executive Adam Bello and the Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC) today announced that the United States Air Force Thunderbirds will headline the 2026 Rochester International Airshow at ROC. The airshow dates are Saturday, August 8 and Sunday, August 9, 2026.
“The Thunderbirds are a huge draw internationally, and it’s an honor that they wanted to return to Rochester just a few years after their last successful show in 2023,” said Monroe County Executive Adam Bello. “The ROC airport will be ready to shine in time for the airshow, with the completion of our many upgrades in amenities, parking and enhanced customer convenience additions. This will be a spectacular show.”
ROC has been fortunate to host the Thunderbirds five previous times in the last 19 years when they were the featured act at ROC Airshows in 2005, 2008, 2014, 2019 and 2023. The Thunderbirds are the official air demonstration team of the United States Air Force and are stationed at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada.
More information on the Thunderbirds performance and other acts for the 2026 Rochester International Air Show are forthcoming.
