Monroe County Executive Adam Bello Announces Public Open House To Discuss Potential Improvements To Trails In The Irondequoit Bay Parks System

Monroe County Executive Adam Bello today announced a Public Open House from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6 at the Abraham Lincoln Park Waterfront Lodge on Smith Road to gather input for an upcoming study of how to best improve the trail systems in County Parks adjacent to Irondequoit Bay. County parks adjacent to Irondequoit Bay include Ellison, Lucien Morin, Irondequoit Bay West, Tryon and Abraham Lincoln parks.

“I invite all Monroe County residents to join us for this open house to discuss improving the trail systems in Ellison, Lucien Morin, Irondequoit Bay West, Tryon and Abraham Lincoln parks,” said Monroe County Executive Adam Bello. “Your voice matters in shaping the future of our parks, which serve as an incredible outdoor recreational resource for our community. Public input is invaluable in making our parks the best they can be for all residents. I look forward to hearing everyone’s ideas and vision for the enhancement of trails in the Irondequoit Bay park system.”

The Monroe County Parks Department and consultants from Environmental Design & Research, Landscape Architecture, Engineering & Environmental Services (EDR) will lead the Public Open House. EDR has been engaged by the county to gather public input and undertake a study of the park system’s trails, their use, groups that use the trails and potential trail expansion.
