Monroe County Executive Adam Bello today announced that due to anticipated high heat and humidity on Sunday, July 28 and Monday, July 29, Ontario Beach will remain open for swimming an additional hour each day, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., if water conditions permit.
Beachgoers are encouraged to call (585) 753-5887 to check conditions and ensure the beach is open before heading to the park.
In addition, the free Spray Park at Ontario Beach Park will have extended hours on Sunday and Monday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Lifeguards will be on duty to monitor swimmers at the beach. The county reminds the public that glass containers and pets are prohibited from park grounds.
