Monroe County Executive Adam Bello Announces Free Protective Masks to be Distributed at Tonight’s CGI Rochester International Jazz Festival & Wegmans Concerts By The Shore

Monroe County Executive Adam Bello today announced that free N95 & KN95 masks will be distributed tonight at the CGI Rochester International Jazz Festival at both Parcel 5 and on Jazz Street (Gibbs St.), as well as at the Wegmans Concerts on the Shore at Ontario Beach Park.

“Smoke from Canadian wildfires can have a negative impact on children under age 18, adults 65 years and older, and people with heart or lung disease. A high quality protective mask can filter the fine particulate matter so people can enjoy the Jazz Fest and Concert by the Shore tonight,” said County Executive Bello. “We will continue to monitor air quality and follow the guidelines from the Monroe County Department of Health.”

“Thank you to Monroe County and County Executive Bello for making these high quality mask available to Jazz Fest patrons,” said Marc Iacona, executive director of the annual CGI Rochester International Jazz Festival. “These masks will ensure all have a great time at tonight’s performances.”

Promoters of the CGI Rochester International Jazz Festival will distribute the masks on Jazz Street and at Parcel 5. Monroe County Parks staff will distribute masks at tonight’s Skycoasters performance at Ontario Beach Park.

Earlier today, County Executive Bello announced masks will be made available for free at most libraries and at the county’s four DMV locations.

Residents can find Department of Health guidelines and can monitor air quality levels by visiting monroecounty.gov.
