Monroe County Executive Adam Bello will lift the travel advisory at 5:00 A.M. tomorrow as overnight crews work to restore power and clear downed trees, power poles, and debris from roadways. The County Executive asks that people use caution and give themselves extra time for the morning commute as some roads may still be obstructed and several intersections may not have working traffic lights by morning.
Dark traffic signals should be treated as an all way stop — with a complete stop for all cars approaching the intersection. Downed branches and debris may impede sidewalk access in some areas.
The Monroe County Office of Emergency Management continues to monitor the situation.
