Monroe County Executive Adam Bello announced that low-fare carrier Frontier Airlines has started nonstop service from the Frederick Douglass - Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC) to Tampa International Airport (TPA). Nonstop flights to TPA began on November 30, 2021 and will be available four days per week – Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
Additionally, County Executive Bello and Frontier Airlines announced new nonstop service from ROC to Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) starting February 18, 2022. To celebrate ROC’s newest airline partnership, Frontier is offering ultra-low fares starting as low as $49 one-way to FLL on select dates now through December 6, 2021. Nonstop service to FLL will be available twice per week on Mondays and Fridays.

Lauderdale to see loved ones, Tampa to go to the beach or Orlando to visit the theme parks and other tourist attractions, Frontier Airlines’ nonstop service to Florida is passenger-friendly and convenient for all residents of our region.”

The Frederick Douglass - Greater Rochester International Airport continues to take extra precautions to promote health and safety at the airport with the #ReadySetROC initiative. Ongoing #ReadySetROC initiatives include enhanced cleaning, additional hand sanitizing stations, face covering policies, social distancing markers and reminders, plastic shields at all public counters and other educational materials.
