Johnson & Johnson Vaccine will be available from Noon to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 24
Rochester, NY – Monroe County Executive Adam Bello is pleased to announce that the Frederick Douglass – Greater Rochester International Airport will be hosting a pop-up COVID-19 vaccine clinic on place Monday, May 24 from Noon to 5:00 p.m. The vaccine clinic will take place in the lower level of the airport, near the baggage claim area.
This pop-up clinic is part of New York State’s initiative to bring the COVID-19 vaccine to transportation centers like airports, bus terminals and railroad and subway stations. New York State will be providing the Johnson & Johnson vaccine for this clinic. Any resident 18 years of age and older can take advantage of this opportunity. This clinic is walk-up only, with no appointments necessary. The COVID-19 vaccine is FREE to anyone, regardless of health insurance or coverage.
“Thanks to New York State for making the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine available for this important pop-up clinic. Bringing the vaccine closer to where people are and making it more convenient is critical as we increase our efforts to protect our community. Traffic at the airport is diverse, unique, and frequent, thus providing the perfect environment for a single-dose vaccine clinic,” said County Executive Bello.
