Golf Services Coordinator, Seasonal
Description of Duties
This position, located at the Monroe County Department of Parks, is responsible for assisting with golf-related activities at one of the following parks: Durand Eastman, Genesee Valley and Churchville Parks. Duties include handling public relations and providing advice, overseeing the daily activities of a golf pro shop, restaurant and other related activities, golf repair, and ensuring the public and staff conform to the rules and regulations of the assigned golf course. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of, the Golf Services Manager or other higher-level staff member. General supervision is exercised over seasonal laborers. Does related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:
- Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree; OR,
- Graduation with an Associate’s degree, plus one (1) year paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience in the operation of a golf course; OR,
- Three (3) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience in the operation of a golf course; OR,
- An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B), and (C) above.
