Solid Waste Project Manager
Description of Duties
This is a professional position in the Department of Environmental Services responsible for performing field work while coordinating and managing solid waste project operations and assisting with contract management. Duties involve the application of technical, environmental and public interface capabilities in coordination of various solid waste management functions of the Department while ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of a Solid Waste Administrator or other higher-level staff member while overseeing the work of contractors.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class at the Monroe County Department of Environmental Services and must have served continuously for twenty-four (24) months holding the position of Senior Industrial Waste Technician immediately preceding the date of the written test. Provisional time served immediately before a permanent appointment to the same title(s) will be credited.
