Senior Motor Vehicle Representative
Description of Duties
This is a senior level position responsible for overseeing duties related to examining, processing and approving applications for vehicle licenses and registrations. Employees may perform some of the processing functions or may assist in supervising a staff of Motor Vehicle Representatives and clerical personnel under the direction of the Branch Manager. This position differs from the Motor Vehicle Representative title by virtue of its expanded scope, lead supervisory responsibilities and the capacity for the exercise of independent judgment and decision making. General supervision is exercised over a subordinate staff. The employee reports directly to and works under the general supervision of the Assistant Deputy County Clerk, Auto License Bureau.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class at the Monroe County Office of the County Clerk and must have served continuously for twelve (12) months holding the position of Motor Vehicle Representative immediately preceding the date of the written test. Provisional time served immediately before a permanent appointment to the same title(s) will be credited.
