Systems Support Technician II
Description of Duties
This is a technical information services position responsible for leading and participating in, providing help desk support either in the office or the field, and/or the installation, configuration and maintenance of microcomputer systems. This position differs from the higher position in this series in that responsibilities do not involve administration or management of applications, operating systems and associated documentation. The employee reports directly to and works under general supervision of a senior level staff member.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class at the Monroe County Department of Information Services and must have served continuously for twelve (12) months holding the position of Systems Support Technician III immediately preceding the date of the written test. Provisional time served immediately before a permanent appointment to the same title(s) will be credited.
