Deputy Sheriff Jailor Captain
Description of Duties
This position, in the Monroe County Sheriff's Office-Jail Bureau, assists with the administrative duties of the Monroe County Jail and Correctional Facility and performs security functions when required. Must be available during all shifts in order to respond to emergency situations at either facility. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of a Deputy Sheriff Jailor Major. General supervision is exercised over Deputy Sheriff Jailor Lieutenants.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class at the Monroe County Office of the Sheriff and must have served continuously for twelve (12) months holding the position of Deputy Sheriff Jailor - Lieutenant immediately preceding the date of the written test. Provisional time served immediately before a permanent appointment to the same title(s) will be credited.
