Audiologist
Description of Duties
This is a specialized professional position involving responsibility for the diagnostic evaluation of, and provision of non-medical rehabilitative services for, auditory problems of students. Employees of this class determine range, nature and degree of hearing function related to students' auditory efficiency, using such instrumentation as pure tone and speech audiometers, and participate in conservation and rehabilitative programs including hearing aid orientation and auditory training. The work is performed under the general supervision of a senior level administrative staff member.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a license and registration issued by the New York State Education Department as an Audiologist.
