Unit Administrator, prov.
Description of Duties
The Unit Administrator is a member of the Monroe Community Hospital management team and is responsible for the coordination and monitoring of the provision of services to the patient care units. The Unit Administrator works closely with hospital department managers providing statistical and analytical information to improve patient care, productivity, and cost effective administration of the operating budget. This position reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of the Executive Health Director or other higher-level staff member. May supervise subordinate staff as assigned. Does related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications
PROPOSED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:
(A) Graduation with a Bachelor's degree plus one (1) year paid full‑time or its part-time equivalent management experience which shall have involved responsibility for interpreting and implementing policies and procedures, scheduling and assigning work activities, or supervising, training, and evaluating employees; OR,
(B) Graduation with an Associate's degree or completion of sixty (60) college semester credit hours plus three (3) years paid full‑time or its part-time equivalent management experience as described in (A) above; OR,
(C) Five (5) years paid full‑time or its part-time equivalent experience as described in (A) above; OR,
(D) An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B) and (C).
