Research Specialist, prov.
Description of Duties
This position is responsible for conducting research and providing subject-related advice. This employee will apply their understanding of the sociocultural factors that contribute to social impact, with a specific focus on underrepresented communities. Duties of this position include gathering and analyzing data to ensure facts, findings and resources adhere to required methodologies. In addition, this position involves information technology with database design and maintenance, quality checks and systems integrity, to aide in identifying trends in the community. The employee reports to the Assistant Director of Research Strategy and Development, the Research Coordinator or other higher-level staff member. Does related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma plus, EITHER:
(A) Graduation with a Doctorate, plus three (3) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent professional** experience in research, working with community based participatory research, or in applied research; OR,
(B) Graduation with a Master’s degree, plus five (5) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent professional** experience as outlined in (A) above; OR,
(C) An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
**Professional experience for the purposes of these minimum qualifications, does not include secretarial/clerical or similar experience.
